Overview It’s hard to imagine feeling any closer to nature and the marvels of ancient civilization than in the heart of Peru. You will be promoting the idea of self-sufficiency as you work with a small orphanage nestled in the Sacred Valley of Peru. The surrounding environment is surreal as you gaze around and find that everything you see looks like it came straight from a picture. The orphans of the Sunflower home are so happy and anxious to welcome back AYS again this year as we assist them in building upon their dream for a better life. We will work at the orphanage, helping with expansion of the orphanage as well as their nearby farm where these children learn life-sustaining skills. You will also have the awesome opportunity to visit Machu Picchu, the ancient mystical city of the Incas and climb Huayna Picchu for an amazing view of “the lost city of the Incas.”
