Alliance for Youth Service (AYS) is an LDS non-profit service organization for youth ages 16-19. Our mission is to give youth the opportunity to serve people, build their testimonies, and see the world all at the same time. Through service we can change lives for the better, including our own. For Youth

What is it?

	AYS is an LDS youth humanitarian organization offering service expeditions to exciting places. This year we’re going to Fiji, Peru, Bolivia, and the Dominican Republic.

	Make friends with a group of about 15 youth and 3 adults.

	Spend about two weeks serving others and making a difference in their lives.

	See amazing places and learn a new culture. Make friends with local LDS members.

	AYS trips are LDS oriented, support and strengthen your standards, and bring a Gospel perspective to the service.

	Applying for college? An AYS expedition sets you apart from the rest!

For Young Men

For Parents

Help them put life in perspective.

	Send your son or daughter on an LDS youth humanitarian expedition.

	AYS trips changes the lives of those served and those who serve. Service builds character and testimony.

	Give a Christmas or graduation gift that lasts longer than a lifetime.

	Their standards will be strengthened, not challenged while they’re away from home.

	Come along as an adult coach. You can have a special experience with your child and make a difference in the lives of other LDS youth. Space is reserved for the children of adult coaches.

Where in the world is AYS this summer?

Fiji

June 6 - June 23, 2008 & July 18 - Aug 4, 2008
	Snorkel on the beaches of the south pacific and sail to Robinson Crusoe-ish islands! Info on the service project coming soon.

Dominican Republic

June 13- 28, 2008
	Swim in Caribbean blue water, visit Columbus’s grave, and build a cafeteria for a rural medical facility!

Peru

June 26 - July 11, 2008 & July 24 - Aug 9, 2008
	Visit Machu Picchu, the ancient mystical city of the Incas and rebuild homes for earthquake victims!

Bolivia

July 10 – July 28, 2008
	Climb the ancient Inca steps, explore the Island of the Sun in Lake Titicaca, and bring running water and sanitation to a school!
